OmniTraining is giving away a Nintendo Wii and an Xbox 360. Yes, really.
The details of this marketing ploy: - Notice the ads on the right-hand side of this site. If they seem appealing to you, please do feel free to investigate them, then return to this site.
- Leave a comment at the bottom of this page, and you will be entered into The Pool for the drawing. You must give your real name (if you win) and e-mail address, and agree that OmniTraining may use your name if you are selected as the winner. We will not use your e-mail address in any other way. The name you enter in the comment form will show up on the Web page along with your comment.
- For every 50,000 comments (entries) we receive, we will give away another pair. Tell everyone or we'll never get to 50K!
We will continue giving away the consoles as often as we get 50,000 unique comments. Based on other Xbox giveaways we've seen (that often get 30K entries in a week) we feel this number is reasonable. To keep the pool limited to 50,000 entries (and increase your chances of winning the next time), we will purge the comments after the Xbox and Wii are given away (to two different winners). You will need to re-enter the contest. To be sure you're notified when a new contest starts, subscribe to our monthly newsletter.* Even if you aren't interested in IT news, the newsletter will at least notify you that it's time to re-enter the drawing. How you can dramatically boost your chances of winning: Method 1: If you're interested in Network Engineering, we have the book for you! Network Ninja is on sale now. If you purchase it through lulu.com (support self-publishing!), you will be entered 20 times in the drawing. Click on the book image for more information. Also, if you're interested in writing an honest and thorough book review for slashdot, let me know. You must e-mail us using the Contact Us link and let us know you've purchased the book (include the date and time you purchased it).
Method 2:OmniTraining's mission is to provide world-leading articles, advice, and training about all matters related to IT. We have bi-weekly articles that cycle the front page for free, but there are also hundreds of articles and training material available via subscription. If you're in IT, or want to be, this is the perfect place to look for information about technology, how it works, where it's heading, and how you should be implementing it. This material is particularly useful if you're involved in SAN deployments, Networking, server security, or Unix/Linux administration. If you or your company purchases a monthly subscription to OmniTraining, you will automatically be given 5 entries into the drawing for each subscription. Each yearly subscription gets you 20 entries into the drawing pool. The e-mail address used to purchase the subscription will be used for the drawing. See the subscriptions page for more detail. * Your e-mail address will never be sold or used for anything but sending the monthly newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
